Saturday

Saturday we went out on a run with the whole group from camp but we ran into a couple of friends in the main wash and got separated from them.

We spotted this guy high centered and it looked like he was by himself so we cruised over to see if he needed help.  An XJ got to him just before we got there and gave him a line.

Since Dan was going around to see if he could help he decided to come down on the more traveled path.

A gal from work was one of the people we ran into.  She was riding with her friend Ronda in her new Rubicon.  Here she is posing on a boulder.

After a while of cruising around she got more of the knowledge of what a stock Rubicon can do.  I'm impressed that's for sure.

Dan found a good spot to check our max articulation.  PHOTO OP!!!!!

Ronda and her Rubicon that just walked right through it.  Flex is overrated.

We went to the raffle Saturday night.   When we got back to the jeep it wouldn't start up.  Ended up with an exciting tow back to camp behind Brad's Hemi powered Unlimited.  Damn that thing can MOVE!!!

The jeep would crank but not turn over.   No gas, no spark, no gauges.  Looked like the PCM had failed.  Had to have the jeep trailered back to Steve's.  (Big thanks to Brad for the tow, Steve for the drop off spot and support and Dan for hauling my jeep and letting me drive his jeep back into town.)  So far they say that the CKP (Crankshaft Position Sensor) is shorted.  Hopefully that will be it and not the PCM.

Overall it was a wonderful trip.  Wish we could have had another day (with a working jeep).
